There were quite a few match-winning performances that enabled the hosts to win the match on Day 4.
After the stupendous victory, the Indian cricket broad (BCCI) shared a link of the moments after the match where captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, debutant keeper Dhruv Jurel, batting coach Vikram Rathour, batter Shubman Gill, debutant Sarfaraz Khan talked about the various turning points and winning moments in the match.
Ravindra Jadeja, who had scored a fine hundred in the first innings, picked up 5/41 in the second innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal became only the third Indian batsman to score consecutive Test double hundreds.
Jaiswal hit an unbeaten 214 – following on from his 209 in Visakhapatnam – as India declared at 430/4 in their second innings, setting England an improbable 557 runs for victory.
England were then routed for 122 runs (39.4 overs) in just over one session, falling to their heaviest Test defeat (by runs) since World War II.
It was India’s biggest Test win by runs with the previous best being a 372-run victory over New Zealand at Mumbai in 2021.
