NEW DELHI: Srinagar is abuzz with excitement as legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, has been on a visit to Kashmir over the past few days.
In addition to relishing the breathtaking landscapes of the region and engaging with locals, Tendulkar engaged in a game of roadside cricket with a group of boys in the valley.
The cricket icon took to his social media platforms and shared a video as he played cricket with the young boys amidst the picturesque backdrop of Kashmir.

“Cricket & Kashmir: A MATCH in HEAVEN!,” Tendulkar wrote.
In the video, Tendulkar played some lofted straight shots and down-the-leg flicks. Towards the end, he playfully turned the bat upside down, challenging the bowler to dismiss him. However, the bowler was unable to succeed, as the batting legend effortlessly played the shot.

Tendulkar also visited the Aman Setu bridge — the last point on the Line of Control in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tendulkar interacted with the soldiers at the Kaman Post, near Aman Setu, during his visit that lasted around one hour, officials said.

He earlier visited a cricket bat manufacturing unit at Chursoo on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway. He also visited the Pahalgam tourist destination in south Kashmir.
